Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care / Medical-Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Progressive Care / Medical-Surgical unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on nights
• Manage and titrate drips including Heparin, insulin, diltiazem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin as ordered
• Care for patients presenting with abdominal surgeries, ENT surgeries, complex wounds, and general medical diagnoses
• Perform and maintain IVs, drains, ostomies, wound vacs, NG tubes, and Foley catheters
• Document and coordinate care using an Electronic Health Record system
• Float on a rotational basis to other medical-surgical units when the primary unit is overstaffed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS certification
• Intermediate Care or Progressive Care background
• Proficiency with IVs, drains, ostomies, wound vacs, NG tubes, and Foley catheters
• Experience titrating drips (Heparin required; insulin, diltiazem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin a plus)
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record documentation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current ACLS certification
• Experience with respiratory support equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, Vapotherm, and tracheostomy care
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a unit-based setting
