The Role As an Account Executive focused on small businesses (companies with 100 employees or fewer), you’ll own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close. This is a high-velocity, high‑activity role built for someone who loves the energy of short cycles, frequent wins, and a packed pipeline. You’ll be selling HCM and payroll solutions that make a real difference for small business owners, and you’ll do it with the backing of a team that genuinely wants you to win. Key Responsibilities Prospect aggressively and build a high-volume pipeline of small business opportunities Drive a fast, efficient sales cycle – from first touch to signed contract Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue targets Build trust quickly with owners, operators, and decision‑makers at small businesses Develop and sustain Broker and Partner referral relationships to fuel inbound pipeline Collaborate with SDRs, Sales Engineers, and Marketing to maximize deal velocity Accurately forecast and manage pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) Represent Netchex at industry events, community gatherings, and customer meetings What We Are Looking For 3+ years of B2B sales experience, with a demonstrated track record of hitting and exceeding quota Experience selling to small businesses or in high‑velocity, transactional sales environments A hunter mentality; you don’t wait for leads, you go find them Payroll, HCM, or HR tech experience is a strong plus — but not required Strong ability to build rapport fast and move deals forward without losing the human touch Comfort managing a high volume of opportunities simultaneously without dropping the ball Proficiency with CRM and sales engagement tools (e.g., Salesforce, HighSpot) What You’ll Gain Uncapped earning potential with a competitive base salary and commission structure A high‑activity environment where frequent wins fuel your momentum and your paycheck Larger, less crowded territories — more runway, more opportunity The tools, training, and support to ramp quickly and perform at your peak A culture that celebrates hustle, rewards results, and invests in your growth A genuine sense of pride in helping small businesses run better every day How We Show Up at Netchex.
