Job Details: 16000 CHRISTENSEN RD SUITE 250 - TUKWILA, WA 98188 Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services Opportunity Overview Senior Grants Officer – The Senior Grants Officer provides strategic and operational leadership for Boys & Girls Clubs of King County's institutional fundraising efforts. This role manages the full grant lifecycle—from prospect research and proposal development through award management, reporting, and stewardship—ensuring grant activities are compliant, efficient, and aligned with organizational priorities. The Senior Grants Officer partners closely with Development, Finance, and Program leaders to strengthen grants operations, improve processes, and implement tools and systems that support long‑term growth and accountability. This position directly supervises the Grant Writer. Key Responsibilities Grant Strategy & Proposal Leadership: Manage a portfolio of foundation, corporate, and government funding opportunities. Lead cross‑functional proposal development and submission processes. Maintain grant calendars, pipelines, and funder intelligence to support revenue goals. Review proposals and reports to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with organizational priorities. Grants Operations & Compliance: Oversee the full grant lifecycle, including award setup, reporting, stewardship, and closeout. Partner with Finance to monitor grant budgets, expenditures, and reporting requirements. Maintain organized documentation and ensure audit readiness. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accountability. Systems & Process Improvement: Lead the implementation and ongoing administration of grants management systems and workflows. Develop templates, SOPs, dashboards, and reporting tools that enhance visibility and collaboration. Serve as the internal subject matter expert for grants operations and provide training to staff. Leadership & Collaboration: Supervise and coach the Grant Writer, establishing priorities and quality standards. Build strong partnerships across Development, Finance, and Program teams. Support funder stewardship activities, including reporting, site visits, and relationship management. Use data and insights to strengthen grant competitiveness and organizational impact. Qualifications – Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Five or more years of progressive experience in grants management, institutional fundraising, or grant operations. Experience managing multiple grants and collaborating with Finance on budgets and reporting. Prior supervisory or team leadership experience. Strong project management and organizational skills. Experience implementing or administering grants management systems, CRM platforms, or workflow tools. Advanced proficiency with Excel and data management practices. Preferred Qualifications Experience in youth development, education, or human services. Experience with federal, state, or local government grants and compliance requirements. Familiarity with grants and donor management platforms such as Blackbaud, Foundant, Salesforce, Fluxx, Instrumentl, or similar systems. Experience leading process improvement, change management, and staff training initiatives. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong project management and attention to detail.
