This contract position runs from September 8, 2026, through June 18, 2027, and is based near Dearborn, MI.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-6)
• Familiarity with Montessori philosophy preferred
• Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit
• Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Prior resource room experience is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instructional support to a caseload of 17 students in a resource room setting
• Collaborate with general education teachers to develop and adapt lesson plans
• Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation
• Facilitate IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families
• Design interventions to promote academic, behavioral, and social success
• Engage in regular professional development and team planning sessions
