Qualifications:

• Active Michigan teaching license with a Special Education endorsement (must be current and verifiable).
• Experience working with middle school students in resource or self-contained settings is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.
• Passion for supporting students with diverse academic and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to a middle school caseload in a resource room environment.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families.
• Design differentiated lesson plans tailored to individual learning needs and goals.
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth.
• Utilize various instructional strategies, technologies, and curriculum resources.
• Partner with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure student success.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress and compliance.
