Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Michigan teaching license with Special Education endorsement (required)
• Experience working with middle school-aged students, especially in a self-contained or resource room environment, is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, aides, and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Provide direct instruction and adapt curriculum to ensure student success
• Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records
• Foster a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and support staff to promote student growth
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to ongoing program improvement
