Human Resources GeneralistPhoenix Stamping Group is seeking a highly organized, people-focused Human Resources Generalist to lead and support recruiting efforts across our operations. This role is primarily responsible for attracting, screening, coordinating, and onboarding qualified talent.The successful candidate will build strong candidate pipelines, partner closely with hiring managers and recruitment partners, deliver an excellent candidate experience, and support core HR functions as needed.In addition to this recruitment specialization, the position provides site-specific HR support at our two facilities in Atlanta and performs the responsibilities included in the general Human Resources Generalist job description.Title: Human Resources GeneralistReports to: PHX Chief People OfficerJob Purpose: Responsible for assisting the Chief People Officer in the administration of Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs. The Human Resources Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, training and development, benefits, and payroll.Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Responsibilities:With the CPO, develop and maintain a comprehensive recruitment strategy and budget.Lead full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, from requisition through onboarding.Partner with HR Generalists at each plant for effective and efficient direct labor recruitmentCreate and post job advertisements across appropriate job boards, social media, community channels, and other recruiting sources.Review applications and resumes, conduct initial candidate screenings, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.Maintain timely communication with candidates and deliver a professional, responsive candidate experience.Coordinate pre-employment activities, including documentation collection, background checks, drug screens, and other required screenings.Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, define job requirements, and prioritize open roles.Develop and maintain relationships with local technical schools, workforce-development organizations, staffing partners, and nonprofit organizations to strengthen talent pipelines and uphold the company's core value of Community.Track recruiting activity, candidate flow, time-to-fill, and other hiring metrics; recommend process improvements as appropriate.Coordinate new-hire orientations with the HR team and ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee.Generalist Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Lead recruiting activities including posting and advertising for open job positions, application sorting, and scheduling interviews for operator and skilled trade level rolesResponsible for the employee onboarding process including requesting needed documentation and coordinating pre-employment screenings for operator and skilled trade level rolesActs as benefits administrator and liaison to employees to include enrollment, life event changes, general questions, and terminationsMaintains physical and electronic vendor and personnel files.Responsible for system updates (HRIS, ERP, Talent Management) involving Human Resources informationCoordinates and leads orientation programs and procedures for new employeesThe Phoenix Stamping payroll process has centralized and shared responsibilities within the HR department. This position may support that process in updating information, preparing, processing, and/or distributing for non-exempt positionsProvides advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies, minor personnel issues, procedures, and documentation.In coordination with the Chief People Officer, provides advice, assistance, and follow-up on major personnel issuesChampion the company's safety program as Committee Member and coordinate with Director of Quality and Safety statutory training and compliance across all plantsChampions the culture of continuous improvement and participates in departmental and company-wide continuous improvement activitiesResponsible for maintaining Standard Work Instructions for all owned processesCoordinates employee training and maintains training recordsActs as a worker's compensation claims administratorDevelops and maintains partnership relationships with local technical schools and non-profit organizations in the area to uphold our core value of CommunityActs as backup within Human Resources Department and performs other duties as assigned or directed to assist the departmentEnsure all activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and general duty of careMaintains an organized, clean, and safe work area using 6S guidelines and participates in audits as requiredQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related fieldPHR or SHRM-CP preferredKnowledge of Human Resources practices and legal requirementsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent time and project management skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsExperience with MS Office Suite requiredAbility to use discretion and maintain sensitive and confidential informationAdditional Information:Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC offers a drug-free work place along with a competitive salary and benefits package.
