Lab Assistant IVolt is immediately hiring for Lab Assistant I in 402 County Rd D West Saint Paul MN, United States.As a Lab Assistant I, your responsibilities:Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, 6:00am - 2:30pmEssential Job Duties:Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.Prepare specimens for testing and analysis, working in a high volume, production-based environment performing a vital component of clinical lab science.Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.Sort specimens into their appropriate department or Hamilton pipetting.Assists with loading and unloading of specimens on the Hamilton pipetting platform including capping and uncapping samples, labeling aliquot tubes, pulling errors, and sorting aliquots.Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.Returns specimens to appropriate locations.Performs discard and relocation of specimen racks.Replenish test bench supplies as needed.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Adhere to the standard operating procedures and safety requirements of Esoterix, CLIA, CAP and other regulatory bodies.Documents all quality assurance activities as necessary including preventative maintenance logs, instrument function checks, troubleshooting, and quality control to ensure regulatory compliance.Follows any other job-related instructions and performs any other job-related duties requested by department management.Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour-$17.75 per hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Benefits: Volt offers benefits (based on eligibility) that include the following: health, dental, vision, term life, short term disability, AD&D, 401(k), Sick time, and other types of paid leaves (as required by law), Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits any kind of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
