Job Description

Job Title: Cardiologist
Location: Cottonwood, Arizona
Schedule: 7:30AM - 5:30PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate : $278 - $299/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Cardiologist for a temporary assignment in Cottonwood, Arizona. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Cardiologist:
• Provide general cardiology coverage for a Cardiovascular Institute setting
• See 18-24 patients per day in a clinic environment
• Perform cardiac catheterization procedures for own patients as needed
• Support and collaborate with a team including MAs, PCTs, Nurses, and PAs
• Work with a patient population aged 60 and older
• Utilize Cerner EMR system for all clinical documentation
• Complete required Cerner training/orientation (approximately 4 hours, remote) prior to start date
• Maintain Board Certification in Cardiology
• Maintain active AZ license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and relational skills with staff and patients
• Complete credentialing application within 7 days of receipt
• Maintain up-to-date and consistent case logs within the last 12 months
• Submit all timesheets and expenses within 30 days
• Complete medical records in a timely manner and respond promptly to deficiency notifications
• Adhere to scheduled shifts of 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
• Comply with COVID-19 and Flu vaccination requirements or obtain an approved exemption
