Accounting Assistant

Job Summary The Accounting Assistant reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager as a temporary assignment with the possibility of permanent employment. This position requires reliable, detailed work in a variety of accounting and administrative tasks in a faced-paced accounting environment. Key Responsibilities Perform high-volume, accurate data entry. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Process invoices and maintain financial records. Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies. Prepare and update spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Excel. File and organize accounting documentation. Provide general administrative support to the Accounting Department. Required Qualifications And Skills Strong data entry skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail. Basic bookkeeping and accounting knowledge. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications And Experience Entry-level accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred. Experience with Quickbooks software is a plus. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, walk short distances, and operate keyboards and office equipment. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
