Junior Estimator

Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and bid documents. Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare labor, equipment, and material cost estimates. Assist with developing project bids, estimates, and proposal submissions. Solicit and evaluate quotations from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors. Maintain estimating databases, cost information, and historical project records. Conduct site visits to evaluate project conditions and constructability. Attend pre-bid meetings, client walkthroughs, and project site visits. Gather field data required for accurate labor, equipment, and material estimates. Coordinate with field supervisors and crews to understand production rates and construction methods. Support estimating activities for electrical utility infrastructure projects. Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Assist with evaluating project requirements, scope, and potential costs. Collaborate with project teams, vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel. Support the preparation and organization of bid packages and estimating documentation. Qualifications Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline. 2-5 years of experience in electrical utility, electrical construction, power delivery, or a related industry. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Valid driver's license. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred. Experience with utility distribution, transmission, or substation construction projects preferred. Familiarity with estimating software and project management systems preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in both office and field environments.
