Product Manager Data Center Infrastructure North America

POSITION SUMMARYThe Product Manager Data Center Infrastructure will contribute to defining Data Center Infrastructure Solutions product and solutions roadmap by consolidating Voice of Customer data to define market solutions primarily oriented, but not limited, to data center industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure offering meets market needs and will be responsible for defining product and solution requirements. You will also identify value proposition and act as the Subject Matter Expert for Datacenter Infrastructure Solutions for the executive, marketing, and sales teams. The Infrastructure Solutions product line at Vertiv handles complex products or solutions mostly related to manufactured units which consist of Uninterruptible power, power distribution, cooling and white space infrastructure.RESPONSIBILITIESAnalyze Voice of Customer and provide intelligent and effective ideas, proposals or solutionsAnalyze cost and propose improvementsAnalyze competitor products, documenting strengths, and deficiencies in core functionality.Define, develop, and administer customers facing product evaluation programs.Engage with Services team to define and implement Power Solutions service offering.Gather information and analyze new trends and technologyGather and consolidate market intelligence by interfacing with Sales team and Solution Architects.Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement new technology in Infrastructure Solutions offering.Perform and maintain patent reviews for new offerings. Document data and provide details while interfacing with legal team.Create and maintain Product Documentation including user brochures, presentations, manuals, and technical documentation. Provide support to regionalize documents as needed.Work with Product Marketing team on creation of White Papers, Application Notes, Case Studies, and Articles, Videos.Work with Product Marketing team on product launch preparation and product launch.Support Solution architects and Application engineers with solution proposals and technical studies.Provide on-site critical customer consultations when required.Interface with other Vertiv products and engineering teams to coordinate integration with other hardware and/or software solutions.Provide training.QUALIFICATIONSMandatory:Bachelor’s or higher Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering10+ years relevant industry experience.Experience in Data center design, build, commissioning or maintenanceTechnical expertise to translate customer needs/pain points to solutionsStrong written/oral communication, especially in communicating customer needs and value propositionsProficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet, and other business applicationsInformative knowledge about CAD, BIM and CFD tools. Research and analytical skillsPropensity for innovationEffectively communicates technical information and complex ideas to technically diverse audiences.PlusPlease note minimum and preferred requirements for education. This is mostly office job with some traveling at meetings, conferences and other events. From time-to-time factory visit is required.TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED10%The anticipated salary range for this role in the California locality is between $180,000 and $230,000 per year (based on a 40-hour work week)—salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to receive and/or participate in profit sharing, allowances, travel and/or car expenses, and earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization depending on the terms of the employee’s role and individual offer details.
