School Site Administrator

Job Description Learn Academy is looking for a Site Administrator for our schools in Yuma, AZ. This is a great opportunity to join a growing, interdisciplinary team of professionals focused on creating exceptional learning experiences for children in need. In this position, you would oversee and be a part of a private special education day school team. This team works with school districts to deliver the highest-quality services to students with special needs. As a Site Administrator, you will be using your background to support a team of School Psychologists, Special Education Teachers and Behavior Technicians in many facets of our program including Clinical Program, Curriculum/Instruction, and Special Education Services. You will be supported by an area manager and executive director of the program; a team of several educators and technicians would report to the Site Administrator. Key Responsibilities Provide oversight to clinical program implementation, classroom management, curriculum and instructional practices, and Special Education compliance. Hire, succession plan, and mentor employees. Oversee several classrooms comprising a special education teacher, one to three behavior technicians, and a school psychologist. Collaborate and maintain relationships with clients and districts. Manage all Special Education meetings and ensure compliance with all Special education policies and procedures. Consult with staff and district personnel and manage all enrollment and reintegration activities. Provide professional development activities for employees. Oversee staffing, including performance, and assist HR with hiring needs. Communicate effectively with parents and all clientele, ensuring instruction and curricular implementation is aligned with our values. Provide general program supervision. Qualifications Active and valid School Psychologist or Special Education Teaching Certificate and/or Administrator certification by AZ state. Experience working with emotional and/or behaviorally challenged students. Management experience preferred. PCMA certification is a plus but not required; training can be provided. Collaborate and able to receive feedback, mentoring and direction from peers and supervisors. Maintain a professional and clinical perspective at all times, able to not internalize or personalize student behaviors or mannerisms. Must have the strength and dexterity to safely and effectively use Crisis Management Interventions (including therapeutic holds) when needed.
