The Production Planner with Factory Floor Experience will oversee and optimize production schedules to ensure efficient resource use and timely product delivery. This role requires direct daily involvement with factory floor teams and occasional travel between production sites. The planner will use ERP systems and spreadsheets to coordinate workflow, support quality control, and drive continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production activities to meet pre-determined customer required project completions
• Allocate resources effectively across multiple production sites
• Coordinate workflow with factory floor teams through daily interaction
• Support quality control processes to maintain product standards
• Analyze production data and generate performance reports
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
• Utilize ERP systems and review machine drawings to establish production time standards for more accurate planning and tracking
• Evaluate software options to form the basis for Production Planning and report to the General Manager
• Coordinate symmetry in production between Electrical, Engineering, Fabrication, and Assembly departments
• Collaborate with Engineering to create work instructions for Assembly
• Collaborate with all departments to create department floor self-QC standards to reduce re-work
• Work with the General Manager and managers to establish daily production goals for department personnel

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in production planning

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in manufacturing or production management
• Strong communication skills
• High level of confidence
• Effective problem-solving abilities
• Excellent time management
• First hand experience in metal fabrication and custom machinery production
