TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Lakewood, New Jersey. Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our vibrant outpatient office located in the heart of Lakewood, NJ. As part of a cohesive team comprising two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will work in an environment that encourages open communication and teamwork. The clinic's emphasis on patient-centered care means you will have access to cutting-edge rehabilitation equipment and a variety of therapeutic modalities to enhance treatment efficacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately identify and evaluate patients' goals, strengths, and areas for improvement.
• Manage a balanced caseload of patients, ensuring quality care with an average of one patient per hour for individualized attention.
• Craft evidence-based treatment plans that address orthopedic concerns and promote optimal recovery.
• Implement cost-effective therapeutic interventions aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing overall function.
• Collaborate closely with patients to motivate them throughout their recovery journey, helping them overcome physiological barriers to gain independence in their activities of daily living.
• Design specific exercise and wellness programs tailored to varying patient needs, focusing on enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Keep thorough documentation of treatment services provided, progress notes, and patient interactions in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring compliance and improved communication.
• Build collaborative relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals to exchange valuable insights about patient care and treatment efficacy.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes to monitor progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary, ensuring continuous improvement in patient care.
• Encourage preventive practices among patients to enhance their overall physical health and well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be serving patients experiencing a range of musculoskeletal issues, including but not limited to postoperative recovery and treatment of acute and chronic orthopedic injuries. Our clientele is diverse, with individuals of all ages seeking rehabilitation, enhancement of physical performance, and strategies to manage pain and improve function. You will play an essential role in supporting these patients, offering them hope and a clear pathway toward recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) are highly preferred.
• Applicants must possess a valid physical therapy license in New Jersey, with a clean professional record free from any disciplinary actions.
• Strong manual therapy skills and experience in orthopedic outpatient settings are essential.
• Proficiency in developing exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs, demonstrating a patient-centered approach.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, preferably WebPT, to streamline documentation and patient management processes.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience of 2-3 years working as a physical therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in implementing innovative treatment protocols and wellness programs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary range of $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
