We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various healthcare settings, including hospice care, assisted living, and acute care. This leadership role requires exceptional management skills, a deep understanding of nursing practices, and the ability to foster a collaborative environment among staff. *Responsibilities* - Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. - Manage nursing staff schedules and shifts to maintain adequate coverage and quality care. - Conduct regular reviews of patient documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies. - Develop and implement nursing protocols that align with best practices in hospice care and Medicare guidelines. - Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in patient management and care delivery. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care across various settings. - Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvements based on data analysis. - Facilitate ongoing training and professional development for nursing staff. *Skills* - Strong knowledge of hospice care principles and Medicare regulations. - Proven experience in shift management and nurse management. - In-depth understanding of anatomy and medical systems relevant to patient care. - Ability to effectively manage teams, fostering a positive work environment. - Excellent documentation review skills to ensure compliance with healthcare standards. - Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. - Ability to adapt to changing healthcare environments while maintaining high standards of care.
