Part Time Payroll Consultant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll Consultant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $25.00 to $36.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Process payroll accurately, including reviewing, entering, and tracking employee information in the payroll system.
• Prepare cash requirements, Positive Pay, 401(k), and Health Spending Account files for timely transmission.
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts such as 403(b), FSA, health insurance, and workers' compensation.
• Generate timely and accurate payroll reports for grant billing and internal use.
• Assist with annual audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

• Demonstrate proficiency in computerized payroll and accounting software; Paylocity experience is a plus.
• Utilize intermediate to advanced Excel and Word skills for payroll reporting and analysis.
• Apply strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills in payroll processing.
• Manage multiple tasks and adjust schedules based on payroll deadlines.
• Communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive payroll data.

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience or equivalent training.
• Possess knowledge of benefits administration, HSA contributions, and 401(k) plans.
• Exhibit ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a cooperative attitude with colleagues.
• Operate with accuracy and thoroughness in completing payroll-related tasks.
