Payroll - HR Specialist

Description Job Description Cranemasters is seeking a detail-oriented Hybrid - Payroll & HR Specialist to help drive key HR functions while also supporting the payroll manager. This hybrid role will spend time in payroll to ensure accuracy as needed, supports employee lifecycle processes, and maintains compliance in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities - Payroll • Process multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees (UKG) • Ensure accuracy of taxes, benefits, and deductions • Maintain payroll records and complete reconciliations • Generate reports and ensure regulatory compliance
• Act as backup to the Payroll Manager Key Responsibilities - Human Resources • Support onboarding (background checks, E-Verify, benefits setup, employee files) • Assist with recruiting, job postings, and interview coordination • Coordinate training and maintain driver qualification records • Support benefits administration and annual enrollment • Assist with compliance reporting and HR metrics • Provide general HR administrative support Skills/Qualifications • 2-5+ years of payroll and/or HR experience • Knowledge of payroll processes, multi-state taxes, and labor laws • Strong Excel and HRIS/payroll system experience (UKG, ADP, preferred) • Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality • Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred Work Environment & Requirements • Office-based with occasional travel to job sites or meetings • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines • Light physical activity (lifting up to 20 lbs, filing, walking) Why join Cranemasters?
