UTS - Temporary Technical Operations Manager at NC State

Essential Job Duties The Technical Operations Manager manages business‑critical processes relating to digital tools, data management, employment outcome reporting, and internal success measures. Functional Responsibilities Career Outcome Collection, Analysis, and Reporting (50%). Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting career outcome information to internal and external stakeholders. Employment Outcome Collection and Analysis. Design, launch, and continuously optimize an employment outcome collection and analysis process that captures student employment outcomes across undergraduate and graduate programs, ensuring alignment with national and international industry standards. Internal Outcome Reporting. Generate regular internal employment update reports to provide stakeholders with insights into placement trends and career outcome data across programs. Manage Portfolio of Digital Tools (30%). Support full life‑cycle management of a portfolio of digital tools, databases, and employment CRMs (Navigate, Symplicity, and 12Twenty) serving students, staff, employers, and alumni. Continuous Improvement Metrics and Measures (20%). Maintain an internal KPI system and dynamic analytics dashboards that visualize key performance indicators across programs. Minimum Experience and Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Higher Education, Human Resources, or a related field. 2+ years of experience working with data management, reporting, analytics, CRM systems, or operational processes. Experience using technology platforms, databases, or reporting tools to collect, analyze, and present data. Experience managing projects, improving processes, and coordinating multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment. Required Skills Experience using and/or managing CRM systems, web‑based analytical tools, Power BI, or other data visualization platforms. Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. Ability to work independently as a self‑directed contributor while collaborating effectively within a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support data‑informed decision‑making. Demonstrated ability to maintain high ethical standards and appropriately handle confidential student, employer, and alumni information. Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality of work. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience working with data analysis and reporting functions. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage processes, prioritize competing demands, and meet established deadlines. Preferred Experience, Skills, Training, and Education 2+ years of experience developing processes to gather, organize, and analyze disparate data. Experience using Google Analytics, Power BI, Qualtrics, and other survey software platforms. Experience managing CRM systems, including Navigate, 12twenty, Symplicity, and GradLeaders.
