Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). In this role, you will be responsible for the recovery of post-operative adult patients in a high-volume, high-acuity environment. Our PACU operates within a level 1 trauma center, and you will be part of a collaborative team focused on providing exceptional care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide post-operative care to adult patients, ensuring their safety and comfort during recovery.Monitor vital signs and assess patients for any complications following anesthesia.Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide updates on patient status.Work independently while utilizing excellent judgment in a fast-paced environment.Participate in team activities and contribute to a positive work culture.ScheduleThe position requires a commitment to a rotating schedule consisting of day, evening, and night shifts, including weekends and holiday availability. On-call duties may be required as needed.QualificationsCurrent RN License in New York.Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with PACU experience required.ICU experience preferred.American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.Behavioral CharacteristicsWe value team-oriented individuals who possess a positive attitude and emphasize clear communication.
