Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at ProActive Physical Therapy, you will work in an outpatient office setting that fosters collaboration and communication among healthcare professionals. Our facility is designed to provide a comfortable and supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff. You will work Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient needs and clinical operations. Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient, focusing on enhancing strength, mobility, and overall functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and stretches, ensuring proper techniques are utilized to maximize the efficacy of their rehabilitation programs.
• Educate patients and their families about effective body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking metrics such as range of motion, strength improvements, and functional gains.
• Prepare treatment areas, ensuring that equipment and supplies are organized and readily available for therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists to optimize patient care and therapeutic outcomes.
• Provide emotional support to patients, creating a positive therapeutic environment that encourages engagement and motivation.
• Maintain the highest standards of ethical practice, ensuring patient confidentiality and respect for their rights and dignity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one year of professional experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation setting preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
