Civil Defense Litigation Attorney – General Liability Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) About the Opportunity An established and growing civil litigation practice is seeking a Civil Defense Litigation Attorney to join its General Liability team in Atlanta, Georgia. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for attorneys with 2–4 years of experience, including newly admitted attorneys looking to build a strong foundation in civil defense litigation. Working alongside experienced litigators, you'll gain hands‑on experience managing a variety of defense matters, including premises liability, personal injury, and other general liability claims. The firm offers mentorship, professional development, and meaningful courtroom exposure in a collaborative environment. Qualifications Active Georgia Bar license in good standing Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA‑accredited law school 2–5 years of civil litigation experience; defense experience is preferred but not required Experience or interest in general liability, premises liability, bodily injury, products liability, or construction‑related litigation Ability to manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses Deposition experience (taking and defending) is preferred Court appearances, mediation, or trial experience are a plus but not required Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management technology Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating with a team Key Responsibilities Manage a civil defense caseload with guidance from senior attorneys Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings Assist with trial preparation and case strategy Maintain regular communication with clients and opposing counsel Accurately record billable time and meet established billing expectations Deliver high‑quality legal services while meeting deadlines and client objectives Competitive compensation based on experience Performance‑based bonus opportunities Hybrid work schedule with workplace flexibility Optional dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options Paid time off Mentorship from experienced litigatorsOngoing training and professional development Collaborative team culture with long‑term advancement opportunities Why Consider This Opportunity?
