Senior Manager, Data Center Business Operations

Eaton’s Electrical Distributed IT division is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Data Center Business Operations to join our team in Woodridge, IL. This position will be hybrid (3x2) with anticipated up to 50% travel. Relocation assistance available within US.Plan, direct, and execute capital projects related to footprint rationalizations, capacity expansions, manufacturing methods/processes, and facilities using comprehensive knowledge of existing capabilities and new technology.E xamines the needs of the project/program/business to develop projects and build business cases. Able to effectively run program reviews at leadership level, highlight the overall program health / key risks. Responsible for achieving defined project metrics such as schedule, budget, and benefits. Ensure close collaboration with the local operations teams in order to assure project success.The expected annual salary range for this role is $146,000 - $215,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a bonus incentive program.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Ability to deliver tough and/or critical messages in a transparent way with a go forward plan.Manage and maintain program /project metrics for throughout the duration of projectsDevelop and maintain resource plans to meet project scheduleLeverages global resources and prior project contacts to develop the best solutions and assemble best project business casesExecutes large and complex projects using their experience in Eaton’s PROLaunch processesBuild organizational competency - Mentors and trains key individuals in the organizationEvaluate alternate manufacturing processes (ex: additive manufacturing, Metal Infused Manufacturing, plating) that focus on cost reduction, material optimization, and supply chain resiliencyAble to assemble and lead a cross-functional team with engagement from all required functions/organizationsDrives accountability from required action ownersAble to develop equipment technical specifications and perform supplier/contractor evaluations as part of the selection processManage contractor/supplier work while on site at Eaton facilities and assure adherence to Eaton’s Contractor Safety ProgramManage project teams capital and expense spending within approved budget amounts. Provide monthly spending projection updates and able to hit forecasted targetsAssist in the development of various project scenarios for comparison and evaluation which could include footprint expansion and facility consolidationsShares best practices on how to manage projects and also lessons learned based on implementation expereinceThis role could be the next step in your career if you demonstrate the following experience:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institutionMinimum of ten (10) years of experience in Program Management, or a combination of Program Management with some Operations, OpEx, Manufacturing Engineering OR Facilities experienceMinimum of ten (10) years of work in a manufacturing environmentYou will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following:Bachelors degree in EngineeringSix Sigma Green/Black belt certificationProject Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP) or equivalentFamiliar with PROLaunch methodologyFamiliar with Eaton CAR process and definition of project business casesProficient in Microsoft Project applicationWe will not consider candidates who:Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
