OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Fairfield, CT by HMD Trucking

Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

- CPM $0.65 base + $0.10 CPM safety/productivity bonus
- $2,500 sign-on bonus
- Home time: 2 weeks out, 2 nights home

- Empty Miles: Paid at the same CPM as loaded miles
- Detention Pay: $25 per hour after the first 2 hours
- Layover Pay: $175 for every 24 hours
- Orientation Pay: $150
Based in Fairfield, CT, join HMD's driver-focused team as an OTR solo CDL-A Dry Van operator on nationwide routes. You'll run consistent long-haul trips with dependable freight assignments.
What you’ll do:
- Drive modern dry van tractors (under 3 years) equipped with APUs, inverters, and sleepers for cross-country OTR service.
- Deliver freight safely and on schedule while complying with federal and company regulations.
- Keep precise logs, conduct inspections, and complete electronic trip paperwork.
Requirements & pay:
- Valid CDL-A and a minimum of 12 months verifiable experience required.
- Starting pay at 65¢/mile with weekly averages around 2,500 miles and bonuses for safe driving, clean inspections, and referrals.
- Home approximately every two weeks, plus access to in-house maintenance and full benefits (health, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k)).
