Duties

Help

• You will independently administer and serve as a technical specialist for two or more HR programs such as Workers Compensation, Leave Administration (FMLA), Staffing and Operations.
• You will advise managers, employees, and other customers on a variety of HR policies, procedures, and program-related issues to ensure compliance and effective operations.
• You will draft HR documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reports, and correspondence to provide clear guidance and document personnel actions.
• You will research complex HR guidelines and regulations to identify, recommend, and apply appropriate solutions for managers and employees.
• You will analyze program metrics and data trends to prepare comprehensive briefs and recommendations for leadership to improve human resources operations.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following type of duties: 1) Administering and serving as a technical specialist for Human Resources programs; 2) Advising managers, employees, and other customers on a variety of Human Resources policies, regulatory procedures, and program-related issues; 3) Drafting Human Resources documents, such as standard operating procedures, reports, and correspondence; 4) researching complex guidelines to identify and apply appropriate HR solutions to employees and managers. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
