Assistant Coordinating Manager

NYC Health + Hospitals

Kings County Hospital Center, a leading healthcare facility with over 625 beds, seeks a GME Residency Coordinator to support the Graduate Medical Education office and residency program directors in managing residency programs. Responsibilities Program Administration Coordinate day-to-day operations of residency programs, including resident onboarding, scheduling, and tracking. Maintain and update resident records and databases. Manage and organize training schedules, rotations, and conferences for residents. Coordinate educational events, meetings, and seminars. Assist with the preparation and distribution of program‑related materials such as handbooks and evaluation forms. Recruitment & Admissions Support Assist with recruitment efforts for residency programs, including organizing interviews, scheduling events, and communicating with applicants. Help manage the match process and ensure the correct documentation is submitted to NRMP. Maintain accurate records of applicant data and match outcomes. Compliance & Accreditation Ensure program compliance with the ACGME and other accrediting bodies’ requirements. Help prepare for site visits and audits from accrediting organizations. Ensure residency program documentation is up to date and properly filed for accreditation purposes. Resident Support & Communication Serve as primary contact for residents for administrative and scheduling issues. Provide guidance on program policies, requirements, and resources. Assist residents with leave requests, travel arrangements for conferences, and other administrative needs. Budgeting & Financial Management Assist with preparation of program budgets. Help manage residency‑related expenses, including reimbursements. Track and report spending in alignment with budget constraints. Program Evaluation & Feedback Coordinate collection and analysis of resident feedback, evaluations, and surveys. Work with the program director to review program performance and identify areas for improvement. Minimum Qualifications A Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration, Community Health, Psychology or related discipline with at least one year of full‑time supervisory or administrative experience in health care and medical/patient systems administration. Alternatively, a satisfactory combination of education, training and experience. Department Preferences C‑TAGME certification preferred. Master’s degree in Hospital Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health, or related discipline. Apply This position is open to all qualified applicants.
