Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and intake assessments to identify client needs and establish treatment goals.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups through evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that foster emotional healing and personal growth.

• Monitor the progress of clients throughout their treatment journey, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create cohesive intervention strategies.

• Document all interactions and treatment progress thoroughly in the electronic health records to ensure compliance and continuity of care.

• Follow up with clients and their families, providing support and guidance as they navigate their mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population range, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. Our clients present with an array of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and substance use disorders. By understanding each client's unique situation and developing empathetic treatment plans, you will contribute significantly to their recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• A successful pass score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience in a mental health counseling role.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, especially AVATAR, to manage client information efficiently.

• Knowledge of the latest best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective interactions with clients and teamwork.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding in client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in managing clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and techniques, particularly culturally responsive approaches.

Compensation and Benefits\n
