This full-time position offers flexibility as it combines remote telehealth services with in-person sessions at our outpatient office in Islip, New York. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their mental health journeys, focusing on trauma recovery and stress management.

Work Environment\n

Our work setting is primarily remote, providing the opportunity for flexibility in your daily schedule. However, our outpatient office in Islip allows for face-to-face interactions when needed. You will work with a dedicated team of mental health professionals who are passionate about trauma-informed care. The office operates from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, ensuring we meet the varied needs of our clients while creating a work-life balance for our staff.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments for clients to accurately evaluate their histories and determine appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience building, and personal growth.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing methodologies like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at processing trauma, developing coping strategies, and fostering healing.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, to ensure that all aspects of patient care are cohesive and comprehensive.

• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies to stabilize and reassure clients.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources for enhanced understanding and support.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to enhance trauma-informed care knowledge and share best practices.

Qualifications\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
