Job Description Grace is seeking a Senior Technician Specialist reporting to the Pilot Plant Leader at our Chicago, Illinois pilot plant facility. The Senior Technician Specialist will be part of a team that tests petroleum feedstocks and catalysts. This is a Monday through Friday, 8-hour day schedule with overtime on weekends when scheduled. Responsibilities Operate all pilot plant equipment Prepare catalyst and load into reactors Take daily samples and input data into computer Perform experiments of a complex nature involving new technology Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine maintenance Assist in the developing of test procedures and evaluation techniques Foster a safety-centric culture, fully engaging in all aspects of corporate and work group specific safety initiatives Demonstrate a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement Physical Requirements and Environment Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a pilot plant facility with highly hazardous materials Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.
