Associate General Counsel

Nkarta Therapeutics seeks an Associate General Counsel to support legal functions for this publicly traded clinical-stage biotech company. Reporting to the VP General Counsel, the role encompasses commercial contracting, compliance, regulatory communications review, and employment matters while helping meet public company obligations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contracts function and advise on complex license, collaboration, and vendor agreements
• Review promotional, scientific, and corporate communications for FDA, SEC, and regulatory compliance
• Maintain corporate policies, deliver compliance training, and support conflict of interest and data privacy programs
• Manage outside counsel relationships, budgets, and coordinate intellectual property matters
• Advise on employment agreements, equity awards, workplace policies, and HR compliance matters

Requirements

• Law degree and bar admission in relevant jurisdiction
• Commercial contracting and negotiation experience
• Regulatory compliance and FDA knowledge in biotech or pharmaceutical industry
• Experience with SEC reporting and public company governance
• Communications review and compliance expertise
• Employment law and HR compliance background
