RN - Registered Nurse - Vascular Access/PICC Team

About the Position This Staff RN will be working on our Vascular Access/PICC Team based at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s. The position requires occasional work at Mount Carmel Dublin and Mount Carmel New Albany. It is a part‑time day shift, with two 12‑hour shifts per week from 7 am to 7:30 pm, on‑call weekends and rotating holidays. Prior PICC Team experience is preferred. Position Purpose The Registered Nurse works within the Ohio Nurse Practice Act to provide patient care addressing physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The RN collaborates as a team member and is accountable for patient care delivery using the Nursing Process and organizational policies and procedures. What You Will Do Provide nursing care, ensure a patient‑safety environment, promote evidence‑based practice and quality initiatives, and exhibit professionalism within the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program. Assess and evaluate patient care for a group of patients, using evidence‑based practice; collaborate with patients and families to develop and implement a care plan that includes physical, spiritual and educational components. Communicate pertinent information to appropriate team members in a timely manner and keep patients/families apprised. Document accurately and completely assessments, interventions and outcomes in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures and guidelines. Assume responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed caregivers as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Graduate from a school of nursing. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Ohio. Casual RNs must have at least 2 years of experience. New graduate nurses with less than one year of clinical experience will be enrolled in a Nurse Residency Program.
