Public Finance Associate – Los Angeles Location: Los Angeles, CA Experience: 1–4 Years PQE | Public Finance or Real Estate Finance An established national firm is seeking a Public Finance Associate (1–4 years PQE) to join its Los Angeles team. The ideal candidate will have experience in public finance or transactional real estate finance, and a strong desire to grow within a collaborative, deal-driven practice. About The Role This is a dynamic opportunity to join a practice advising on complex public finance transactions involving governmental, nonprofit, and private sector entities. The role is highly collaborative, with immediate client exposure and meaningful partner mentorship. You’ll be integrated into transactions from day one, taking on substantive drafting, negotiation, and client-facing responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate public finance and real estate finance transaction documents Analyze legal issues relating to municipal bond and conduit financing Conduct due diligence, including review of title, survey, and organizational documents Coordinate closings and assist in preparing authorizing documents Advise on federal and state regulatory frameworks applicable to tax-exempt financings Provide strategic legal counsel to nonprofit institutions, lenders, and underwriters Who You Are 1–4 years’ experience in public finance or real estate finance transactions Member of the California Bar (active and in good standing) Strong understanding of financing structures and capital markets frameworks Skilled in drafting and issue spotting in complex transactional documentation Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills Committed to collaborative work and superior client service Experience working with nonprofits, institutional lenders, or investment banks is a plus Compensation Base Salary: $155,000 – $185,000 (DOE) Bonuses: Discretionary bonus potential based on performance Benefits Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance HSA/FSA, fertility & family planning support Flexible vacation & hybrid work policy (3:2 in-office split) Paid parental leave, sick leave & holidays 401(k) with profit sharing Commuter benefits & technology allowance Back-up care, wellness programs, and employee assistance #J-18808-Ljbffr The People Of: Professional Services
