Position Purpose Provides basic care to patients under the direct supervision of a nurse, including activities of daily living, obtaining and documenting vital signs, maintaining and stocking supplies, applying simple dressings and other basic treatments as delegated by the nurse. Care is provided safely, effectively, and efficiently. Essential Functions Performs basic nursing care based upon patients’ age-related needs. Care is provided safely, effectively, and efficiently. 35% Ensures that the patient and other rooms are kept clean and orderly as instructed by nursing. 25% Observes patientscs condition and reports changes to the nurse. Demonstrates sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy. 10% Accurately orders supply for the department.
