Job Title: Legal Billing Specialist - Aderant (100% Remote)
Location: Remote (Eligible states: NJ, PA, NY, DE, FL, IL)
Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 (DOE)
Position Highlights:

Core Software Focus: Aderant proficiency required (Direct portfolio ownership of 600–800 monthly invoices for 10–15 attorneys)

Why This Opportunity?
A prominent, multi-office regional law firm is adding two Legal Billing Specialists to its finance department due to continuous client expansion and firm growth. Operating fully remote across supported office states, this position offers direct portfolio ownership over 600–800 monthly invoices for 10–15 assigned attorneys using Aderant within a tech-forward, highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Aderant Billing Execution: Direct full-cycle legal billing within Aderant, generating pre-bills, processing attorney time edits, posting billable hours, and issuing final invoices.
Portfolio Management: Oversee the monthly billing workflows for 10 to 15 assigned attorneys, processing 600 to 800 complex client invoices per month.
E-Billing Portal Administration: Set up new client matters on electronic billing portals, format and upload LEDES files, manage timekeeper rate setups, and resolve submission rejections.
Compliance Verification: Audit attorney pre-bills and final invoices against strict corporate client outside counsel guidelines to ensure zero billing rejections.
Attorney & Client Engagement: Collaborate directly with billing partners and corporate clients to resolve billing inquiries, adjust rates, and streamline revenue collections.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 3+ years of dedicated legal billing experience in a law firm setting, with a strong employment history and demonstrated job stability.
Software Requirement: Advanced, hands-on proficiency with Aderant legal accounting and practice management software is required.
E-Billing Mastery: Proven experience with electronic billing platforms (e.g., Tymetrix 360, Serengeti/Legal Tracker, Collaborati, Legal X, Allegient) and LEDES text file formatting.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical legal billing experience.
