Correspondence Review Specialist - Mortgage Servicing

Position Summary The Correspondence & Dispute Specialist III is responsible for handling qualified written requests, reviewing all written disputes and complaints from borrowers or their authorized representatives, researching and resolving issues, and providing formal written responses within regulatory deadlines. Duties and Responsibilities Prioritize and complete tasks according to regulatory deadlines. Research loan history, documentation, and applicable policies to ensure operational teams followed appropriate steps. Identify root causes of potential issues and develop and execute resolution action plans. Execute necessary actions or corrections on accounts to resolve disputes and complaints. Compose or review written responses to borrowers (or their authorized representatives) providing final resolution. Communicate with operational business partners to discuss loan‑level details when necessary. Perform related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications and Education Requirements High‑school diploma or equivalent, plus 5+ years of mortgage servicing or origination experience. or Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in English or similar field and 2+ years of mortgage servicing or origination experience. Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge Attention to detail, inquisitive mindset, and passion for investigating and problem solving. Excellent written communication skills, including proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. Excellent research skills. Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel. Strong work ethic, high productivity, deadline‑driven. Quick learning curve for assimilation of new skills and tasks. Superior organizational skills and ability to multitask and adapt to changing assignments.
