Rocket Pest is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Director of Outside Sales to lead and elevate our field-selling organization across all territories and commercial segments. This leadership role is responsible for developing shaping and executing the company's strategy that drives sustainable revenue growth while building a high-performing sales culture grounded in our Rocket Core Values.

As the Director of Outside Sales, you will oversee Regional and Commercial Sales Managers, ensuring alignment, accountability, and exceptional execution across residential and commercial sales channels. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our sales organization, partnering with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, develop talent, expand market share, and deliver industry-leading results.

What You Will Do

Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Develop and execute the company's outside sales strategy across all residential and commercial market segments.
  • Create and implement sales initiatives that drive revenue growth, increase market penetration, and expand customer acquisition.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales objectives with organizational goals and long-term business strategies.
  • Identify new market opportunities and lead strategic planning efforts to expand Rocket Pest's footprint.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.

Sales Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and hold accountable Regional and Commercial Sales Managers.
  • Provide leadership support and development to Region Directors and branch management teams.
  • Build leadership capabilities through ongoing coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Facilitate cross-regional collaboration and the sharing of best practices.
  • Oversee training programs and identify opportunities to strengthen sales competencies across the organization.

Performance & Execution

  • Drive accountability for achieving company sales budgets, growth targets, and profitability goals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), conversion metrics, return on investment (ROI), and sales effectiveness measures.
  • Develop action plans and implement corrective strategies when performance gaps exist.
  • Champion best practices in prospecting, customer qualification, proposal development, and closing strategies.
  • Maintain ownership and oversight of all branch-level sales activity, including:
    • Outside Sales performance
    • Technician sales
    • Technician-generated leads
    • Sales budget attainment

Operational Excellence

  • Represent the outside sales organization in executive meetings and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and travel policies.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in sales management, sales leadership, or training. Experience leading multi-unit location or regional sales teams preferred. Proven track record of driving revenue growth and developing high-performing sales organizations.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and mobile technology platforms. Ability to analyze performance data and utilize performance data and utilize reporting tools to drive business decisions.

Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Ability to interpret complex sales and operational data and translate findings into actionable business strategies. Experience managing sales metrics, budgets, forecasts, and performance initiatives.

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Strong relationship-building and influencing abilities. Results-oriented mindset with a passion for coaching and leadership development. Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across departments. Professional, adaptable and highly accountable.

Additional Requirements:

o Frequent travel is required. Position will be in the field at least 75% of the time.

  • Termite and Other Wood-Destroying Organisms (WDO) License or Operator Certification
  • General Household Pest (GHP) License
  • Lawn & Ornamental (L&O) License
  • Fumigation License
