You’ll join a growing burger bar known for bold smashburgers, a retro dive-bar vibe, and high-energy shifts across Phoenix. This role is onsite and ideal for candidates who want to learn kitchen fundamentals, work with quality ingredients, and contribute to a tight-knit crew that delivers great food and great vibes.You will support daily kitchen operations, gain practical food-prep and line experience, and have opportunities to grow within the Back of House team. If you’re dependable, quick on your feet, and excited to be part of a local favorite, this position is a great place to start your hospitality career.## Responsibilities**Key responsibilities** include:* Prepare ingredients and components to recipe standards: chopping, portioning, and assembling items for the line.* Support the cook line during service by executing simple cooking tasks, plating, and running food to expedient standards.* Maintain high standards of cleanliness: wash dishes, sanitize workstations, and follow scheduled cleaning tasks.* Receive, organize, and rotate deliveries; help with basic stock counts and storage following FIFO principles.* Follow food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper temperature controls and allergen awareness.* Operate kitchen equipment safely and perform routine setup and close procedures.* Communicate clearly with Back of House and Front of House teammates to ensure smooth service and fast turn times.## Requirements**Required qualifications*** Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for a part-time schedule.* Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable in a fast-paced, physically active environment.* Reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction in a team setting.* Basic food-safety awareness and willingness to complete any required training.* Legal authorization to work in the U.S.**Preferred qualifications*** Prior experience in a restaurant or fast-casual kitchen (0–1 year acceptable for entry-level).* Food handler card or ServSafe certification.* Familiarity with grill/line cooking and working with high-volume service.* Interest in growing within the company into prep cook, line cook, or shift leader roles.* Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a passion for food and hospitality.## Benefits**Benefits and perks** for this part-time role include:* Competitive hourly pay plus tips.* Flexible scheduling to support school or other commitments.* Paid training and opportunities for skill development and internal promotion.* Employee meals during shifts and team discounts on food and merchandise.* A fun, energetic crew environment with regular team events.* Clear advancement path to full-time and leadership positions as locations grow.## Equal Opportunity & Inclusion Statement**Bad Jimmys** is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
