Patient Service Representative (PSR)

Contract- 13 weeks

Shift- Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)

We are seeking an experienced Patient Service Representative (PSR) to support a busy oncology clinic. The PSR will serve as an important point of contact for patients, families, providers, and clinical staff while providing excellent customer service and efficient administrative support.

This position supports multiple oncology specialties, including Psychiatry, Supportive Care Medicine (Palliative Care), Social Work, Clinical Nutrition, and Cancer Rehabilitation . The selected candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, and using Epic/CS-Link .

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of administrative experience , preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting.
• Experience answering high-volume telephone calls and assisting patients professionally.
• Experience scheduling patient appointments in Epic .
• Strong customer service and patient service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Comfortable using computer software applications and other technological devices, including phones and related office equipment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Previous experience as a Patient Service Representative (PSR) .
• Previous experience in an oncology, cancer center, hospital, or specialty clinic.
• Experience with Epic/CS-Link .
• Familiarity with oncology or supportive care services.

• Serve as a professional and welcoming point of contact for patients, families, providers, and staff.
• Provide excellent customer service during in-person and telephone interactions.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and direct questions or concerns to the appropriate department or team member.
• Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments accurately in Epic/CS-Link .
• Assist patients with appointment-related questions and provide clear information regarding clinic services and scheduling.
• Maintain accurate patient information and follow established registration and scheduling procedures.
• Coordinate appointments across multiple oncology specialties as needed.
• Support clinic operations by communicating effectively with physicians, nurses, social workers, clinical staff, and other departments.
• Manage multiple administrative tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Follow department procedures for patient registration, scheduling, documentation, and communication.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and organizational policies.
• Assist with maintaining an efficient patient flow and positive patient experience.
• Work collaboratively with team members to resolve patient concerns and administrative issues.
• Complete required department and new PSR CS-Link training .
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
