Job Details Job Type: Travel RN Specialty: ICU / Medical-Surgical ICU Location: Tyler, Texas Start Date: September 8, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts Schedule: Block scheduling; 3 shifts per week / 36 hours per week Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,530 - $1,610 Charting System: Epic Patient Ratio: 1:2 Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Daily Census: 14 Setting: High-acuity ICU/CCU environment Job Requirements 2 years of ICU nursing or critical care experience preferred Travel nursing experience preferred Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission Current ACLS and BLS certifications required NIHSS and PALS preferred Epic charting experience required Strong proficiency with ventilator management, central lines, arterial lines, and vasoactive drips Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate, and skilled care to critically ill medical-surgical ICU patients Monitor patients requiring ventilatory support, CRRT, and advanced cardiac monitoring Assess changes in patient condition, interpret rhythms and ABGs, and respond appropriately Administer IV medications and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per protocol Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery and continuity of care Document accurately in Epic and follow unit standards for quality, safety, and compliance Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on exceptional patient care Apply now to join this ICU travel nurse opportunity in Tyler, Texas, and advance your critical care nursing career.
