Safety Coordinator

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team in Baytown, TX, 77523. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment for all employees. You will be responsible for implementing safety programs, conducting training, and monitoring safety practices throughout the facility. If you are passionate about workplace safety and have a proactive approach to risk management, we would love to hear from you!ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Advise management on safety compliance concerns and preventative measures.Conduct employee safety training, awareness, and compliance programs.Maintain safety documentation and OSHA 300 injury logs.Prepare reports with corrective and preventative action recommendations.Conduct accident investigations and determine root causes.Monitor workplace safety practices and enforce company safety rules.Perform additional duties assigned by management or Human Resources.QualificationsIndustrial safety experience preferred.Knowledge of OSHA standards.High School Diploma required with at least 5 years of related experience.Certifications or degree preferred: OSHT, CSHT, CSP, ASP, SSH, or CSHO.Ability to read and write in English required .Must be bilingual.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety coordinator or similar role.Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.Certifications such as OSHA 30-hour or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are a plus.You should be proficient in:Human ResourcesWorkplace Safety & EHS ManagementGood Manufacturing Practices (GMP)High-level Operations Analysis #J-18808-Ljbffr
