Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, meticulously reviewing patients' medical histories and current health conditions.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging studies, to ascertain the health status of patients.
• Accurately diagnose and manage various health issues, ranging from acute injuries to chronic illnesses, using evidence-based protocols.
• Craft personalized treatment plans that address both infectious and chronic diseases, ensuring continuity of care throughout the patient’s journey.
• Prescribe medications judiciously, while closely monitoring and adjusting treatment based on patient responses.
• Document patient encounters with precision, ensuring that patient records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Provide thorough education for patients and their families on therapeutic procedures, disease management, and prevention strategies, empowering them with the knowledge to manage their health.
• Participate in daily patient rounds, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to effectively manage patient care and transitions.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in primary care and surgical practices through continual professional development and participation in relevant training programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse patient population of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric patients, focusing primarily on those undergoing surgical procedures. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a family health clinic or surgical setting, demonstrating relevant expertise in primary care.
