Step into a vital support role assisting students and educational teams in a dynamic school setting near Fremont, CA. This full-time contract opportunity is open to dedicated paraprofessionals who are already fully on boarded. With two immediate openings and a start date as soon as Monday, you’ll be working 30 hours per week, from 8:15 AM to 2:45 PM daily. While this assignment is designated as short term, there is strong potential for it to continue through the entire school year.
Qualifications:
- Paraprofessional status with active onboarding completion
- Prior experience supporting teachers and students in classroom environments
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directives from lead teachers and adapt to changing needs
- Reliability and punctuality in school environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assistance to classroom teachers with instructional, behavioral, and administrative tasks
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, reinforcing lessons and supporting individualized needs
- Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom materials
- Support inclusion and engagement of all students, including those with special needs
- Monitor and supervise designated students during class, transitions, and lunch or playground breaks
- Foster a positive and respectful learning environment for all students
