Plant Operator - 1st Shift! 9:30 AM - 6PM - 6618

We are looking to hire a Plant Operator for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Shakopee, MN. A Plant Operator has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal Plant Operator is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems. 1087 Park Pl #150, Shakopee, MN 55379 Responsibilities Lifting 55lbs and pushing a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials) Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization system) Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers Stand for extended periods of time comfortably Work well with a team Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job (repetitive lifting of 50lbs to 75lb containers) Willingness to take a 5 panel urine drug screening Willingness to take a 7 year background check Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in PPE Proven longevity with employers Can-do attitude Compensation & Benefits Job stability – as an essential service to healthcare, we are non-seasonal and recession proof Opportunities for overtime Consistent work hours: Monday to Friday, 1st Shift (9:30 AM-6PM) Benefits: Full‑time roles are provided benefits, sick leave, and vacation leave from day one Permanent position – 40 hours per week Competitive salary: $22.50 per hour (non‑Negotiable) About Us We are a healthcare service company providing safety systems and medical waste collection for hospitals, medical centers, surgical centers, nursing homes and an array of customers within the healthcare setting.
