Human Resources Business Partner

Each day at AssuranceAmerica is different, but as an HR Business Partner, you will: Responsibilities Core HR : Drive day‑to‑day HR functions that support the lifecycle of an associate. Champion associate engagement and continuously identify areas of improvement for HR processes, policies and procedures to reinforce our living culture and engagement. Strategic HR Planning : Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business goals and promote HR strategies that align with short‑term and long‑term objectives. Employee Relations : Primary contact for associates and leaders with HR‑related questions. Serve as mediator and advisor in resolving employee relations issues, balancing situational leadership and fair application of company policies. HR Policies & Compliance : Collaborate with HR leadership and Legal to create, update, communicate, administer, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Stay updated on relevant legislation; maintain employee records, including personnel files and HR‑related documentation. Policy Development : Collaborate with HR leadership and Legal to create, update, communicate, and administer HR policies and procedures consistent with best practices and company values. HR Metrics & Reporting : Collect and analyze workforce data. Report on HR metrics and communicate insights that enhance organizational effectiveness and drive business results. Employee Feedback : Promote annual engagement survey and communicate with associates to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement. Promote AssuranceAmerica’s value proposition and brand to potential candidates and associates to facilitate the living company vision of promoting from within and growing our talent base ethically, fairly and legally compliant. Qualifications Proven, tenured success in a similar HR role with demonstrable knowledge of best practices, employment law, processes, procedures and regulations. Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, organizational, and time‑management skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships across all levels, provide strategic HR guidance, influence decision‑making, foster a positive workplace culture, and drive organizational change and business results. Disciplined team player with a strong moral compass and common‑sense approach. Curious, resilient, hard‑working and driven to succeed. Proficient in HRIS, ATS, payroll, and workforce management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel & PowerPoint). Demonstrated ability to analyze HR data, develop reports and dashboards, and leverage technology to improve HR operations and support business objectives. Required Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field; five years’ experience in a similar HR role. Experience in a functional HR expert role (compensation, payroll, benefits, training, etc.) and/or using Workday is a plus. Experience in analyzing data to define root cause, design practical or innovative solutions, and ensure effective implementation. HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP or SHRM‑SCP preferred. Discretion when handling sensitive, confidential or high‑stakes employee matters; proactive and flexible customer service orientation. Available to travel, attend events and work hours as needed to support company initiatives. Use independent judgment to make decisions and prioritize work; willingness to adjust to changing priorities. Demonstrated excellence thriving in a fast‑paced environment. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
