Bilingual HR Specialist

Bilingual HR SpecialistWe're looking for an HR Specialist to be the go-to resource for payroll accuracy, timekeeping, onboarding, and compliance - helping us maintain a workplace where employees are supported and processes just work.In this role, you'll partner closely with managers and employees, troubleshoot Paylocity questions, and play a key part in our prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting (including LAUSD certified payroll). If you enjoy solving problems, working with confidential information responsibly, and being the person people trust to get things right, we'd love to hear from you.Responsibilities:Review weekly timecards for accuracy, completeness, and required documentationPartner with managers to resolve discrepancies and hit approval deadlinesCollect signed timecards, meal premium forms, and other required paperworkPrepare and distribute weekly payroll and approval summary reportsServe as the go-to Paylocity resource — troubleshooting issues and training managers and employees on best practicesMaintain phone reimbursement and uniform deduction recordsPrepare labor-tracking reports to monitor prevailing wage hours and costsMaintain supporting documentation for prevailing wage payrollPrepare and submit LAUSD certified payroll reports on time, every timeAttributes:Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracyWorking knowledge of employment and wage-and-hour requirementsAbility to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalismComfort working cross-functionally with managers and employees at all levelsExperience with Paylocity or similar HRIS/payroll platforms a plusRequirements:Minimum 3 years of human resources experienceBasic to intermediate Excel experience need (manual reporting)Bilingual in English and SpanishExperience working with California employment laws.
