The Senior Accountant will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for the following:General Accounting & Month-End CloseMaintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all accounting transactions.Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.Manage month-end and year-end close activities.Reconcile bank, credit card, fixed asset, and balance sheet accounts.Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual transactions.Ensure accounting records comply with GAAP and company policies.Financial ReportingPrepare monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.Analyze revenue, expenses, and operating results.Assist management with budgeting and forecasting activities.Develop reporting that provides better visibility into business performance.Support profitability and cost analysis initiatives.Tax & ComplianceManage multistate sales and use tax reporting requirements.Coordinate with external CPA firms regarding tax filings.Assist with annual audits and financial reviews.Support preparation of year-end reporting and 1099 filings.Maintain compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements.RequirementsThe Senior Accountant should be self motivated and comfortable working independently.
