Job Title: Collections Representative
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Collections Representative to join our client to support effective account resolution and drive timely payment outcomes. This role focuses on engaging with individuals who have outstanding education related balances and guiding them toward manageable repayment solutions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment, balancing consistent outreach with detailed account tracking. Compensation:
$17.00 to $17.50 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM; Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM to 11:45 AM
Requires two evening shifts per week and two Saturdays per month
Key Responsibilities of the Collections Representative:

• Manage outbound and inbound account outreach to individuals with past due balances, focusing on securing payments or establishing realistic repayment plans
• Deliver consistent results in a call driven environment, maintaining a steady pace of communication while meeting defined performance expectations
• Maintain organized and accurate account records using Excel, including updates to payment tracking and automatic payment details
• Provide professional and empathetic support during challenging conversations, resolving concerns while preserving positive interactions
• Monitor and achieve performance goals related to payment conversions and follow up commitments

Qualifications and Skills for the Collections Representative:

• Previous experience in collections is required, with preference for third party or financial account recovery environments
• Ability to succeed in a metrics driven setting that emphasizes productivity, accountability, and results
• Comfortable working remotely with strong time management and self direction
• Intermediate Excel skills, including managing data without disrupting formulas or structure
• Effective communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive financial discussions and maintain consistent follow up
