Position Title Clinical Instructor / Clinical Assistant Professor of Respiratory Therapy Position Description The Department of Respiratory Therapy at the Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions invites applications for a 9‑month non‑tenured track position at the rank of Clinical Instructor or Clinical Assistant Professor. The position offers an exciting opportunity to begin or further a career in respiratory therapy education in a large, well‑established program that offers Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral degrees and serves nearly 200 students. Teaching is valued, and collaboration with faculty is required. Responsibilities Teaching respiratory therapy courses across in‑person, online, or blended modalities; integrating critical‑thinking and simulation into instruction; collaborating with colleagues in course design and delivery; and supporting student learning and professional development. Minimum Qualifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) At least two years of clinical and/or didactic teaching experience Master’s degree with at least 18 credits in respiratory therapy Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Georgia Must be willing to begin a doctoral program within 12 months of hire Pre-Employment Requirements Criminal background check Official transcripts Work Hours Flexible schedule.
