About the Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 90-day locum tenens assignment starting Nov 9, 2026, in Washington. This Physician will work daily from 7am to 5pm, with weekday night call from 5pm to 7am. Responsibilities include performing minimal invasive mitral repairs, Impella55 implant and support, aortic valve conservation, aortic root and remodeling procedures, as well as general CV/thoracic, open, endoscopic, and coronary artery bypass surgeries, both on and off pump.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform minimal invasive mitral procedures
• Provide Impella55 implant and support
• Execute aortic valve conservation procedures
• Conduct aortic root and remodeling + enlargement procedures
• Manage general cardiovascular and thoracic surgery cases
• Perform open and endoscopic surgeries
• Conduct coronary artery bypass surgery (on pump)
• Conduct coronary artery bypass surgery (off pump)

Additional Information

• Required Board Certifications: Cardiothoracic Surgery
• EMR System: Epic
• Call Schedule: Weekday night call from 5pm to 7am
• Experience with minimal invasive mitral procedures (preferred)
• Proficiency in Impella55 implant and support (required)
• Ability to perform aortic valve conservation procedures (required)
• Experience with aortic root and remodeling + enlargement procedures (required)
