Advanced Practice Provider - APP - Cardiac Surgery

SSM Health-SLUCare is seeking an experienced advanced practice provider to join our growing service line. SLUCare represents the academic medical practice of Saint Louis University , known for leading-edge care and groundbreaking research. This inpatient position will work in the cardiac surgery stepdown unit.

Job Highlights:

• Provide clinical care to patients transitioning from the Cardiac Surgery ICU to the step-down setting; evaluate and develop plan of care for new patient consults.
• Perform detailed assessments, monitor/evaluate cardiac status, manage patient through the pre-post-op period, initiate/refine medical management, participate in multi-disciplinary rounds, care coordination, discharge planning and education, chest tube/pacing wire removal, wound care.
• Anticipate (3) 12-13-hour shifts per week with weekend rotation of 1:5 and holiday rotation.
• No Call/No Nights.

Qualifications:

• Cardiac Surgery experience preferred
• We proudly welcome new graduate PAs with clinical experience in the Cardiac Surgery setting or new graduate NPs with RN/clinical experience in the Cardiac Surgery setting
• Seeking Nurse Practitioners with Acute Care certification or Certified Physician Assistant
